Hair Facts

Blonde hair facts from RandR Studios, Guelph — starting with warm vs. cool blonde.

Why warm blondes look brighter

Gold pigments reflect light more easily, making the hair appear lighter, shinier, and more luminous. Even when it’s the exact same level as a cool blonde.

Warm vs. cool — not what you think

  • Warm doesn’t automatically mean brassy.

  • Cool doesn’t automatically mean lighter.

  • The level (how light your hair is) and the tone (warm vs. cool) are two different things.

Neither is better. They’re just different.

Choose warm if you love: bright, glowy, sun-kissed, dimensional.

Choose cool if you love: smoky, icy, neutral, clean.
